The Hispanic Business Foundation’s Partnership Youth Initiative (PYI) is a youth mentorship / internship program that brings together business professionals and disadvantaged high school youth together, providing the adult an opportunity to mentor and share experiences and the youth exposure to positive role models in business and the opportunity to build valuable job skills in an internship setting while staying in school through graduation. PYI is a collaborative effort; the Hispanic Business Foundation works together with the
Montgomery County Department of Recreation’s Sports Academies, the
Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, and the Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County. We are pleased and grateful for the contributions made to this program by local businesses and are grateful for their support. Contributions are utilized in their entirety in providing financial assistance to the families of high school students whose circumstances are adverse to the students staying in school through graduation. The funds enabled one student to graduate from high school rather than leaving school to work in order to contribute to family expenses. HBF appreciates the participation of businesses in past youth mentorship/internships: AHBS |
